Congratulations to Rick Smith, owner of Smith’s Tire Center in Berea. Thank you for 27 years of excellence. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of the journey. Smith’s Tire is located at 306 Richmond Rd. N., Berea.

FOR 50 YEARS, NEAR NEW AUTO CENTER has been helping generations of customers find the right vehicle at the right price—and as this Berea business celebrates its golden anniversary, the Near New family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the customers and community who made this milestone possible.

Since 1976, Near New Auto has built its reputation on something that never goes out of style: treating customers right. That commitment has resulted in generations of repeat customers and referrals from satisfied buyers throughout Central Kentucky and beyond.

Today, owners Terry and Todd Wilson continue that tradition. Terry takes pride in offering quality vehicles at competitive prices and helping customers find a vehicle that suits their needs, while Todd works with banks and credit unions to help customers obtain the best financing terms available. Longtime Office Manager Sandy Meade, who joined Near New in 1998, helps keep the day-to-day operation running smoothly.
Near New specializes in low-mileage vehicles, many with just one previous owner. Vehicles are thoroughly checked, inspected and road-tested before being offered for sale. And if the vehicle you’re looking for isn’t on the lot, their vehicle-locator service can help find it.

After five decades, one thing hasn’t changed: customers come first. To everyone who has purchased a vehicle, referred a friend, returned for another, or simply supported this hometown business through the years, Near New Auto says thank you for 50 incredible year! Located on Richmond Rd in Berea.

Many of us are mourning the loss of Ashe Underwood of Nashville, Tennessee. After a long battle with illness, Ashe took his final journey on Friday, August 28.

An acclaimed songwriter, Ashe had songs recorded by Martina McBride, George Strait, Trent Tomlinson, Justin Moore, and others. I will forever treasure his laughter, his music, the memories we made, and the lessons he so generously shared throughout our friendship.

We are all better for having known Ashe. I can’t wait to hear the songs he writes for the angels.
