Mission Trip To Mexico

I wanted to share the joy and blessings that my 16 year old daughter and I experienced last summer.  This year we are praying for double the blessings and joy.  Let me start by saying that God will send you where He wants you to and all we have to do is listen and Obey.  Was I scared like Jonah?  Yes, very much so but I listened to what He was telling me to do.  So,  Analyse and I was being sent with a church in Ashland, Kentucky to Ensenada, Mexico.  We did not know anyone personally and going to another country with them- only because God was telling us to go. Talk about stepping out on faith- God has always taken care of me and I knew He would take care of me and my child.  Of course the devil tried to send obstacles in the way.  I doubted  that we would come up with the money,  I second guessed going with strangers, I second guessed my child’s safety and my sanity.  All of this was in vain because God gave me peace,  we had gotten part time jobs to help pay for the airline tickets, the money for the mission we were staying at while there, and then there was our portion of gas, van rentals,  extras for the house and Vacation Bible school .

Little did I know how much God would Bless us and how much we would fall in love with our new Ashland family from LifeSong Church and the people in Ensenada.  My heart, hurt for the many people there who live in darkness- I mean literally living in darkness. The family we were given to build a home for had actually lived in darkness no electricity and the home they made themselves was boards, and tarps the only real wall they had was a cement wall that their neighbors allowed them to use as a wall.  There was a mother and father and two teenage boys in such a small area.  No electric, no lights, no running water, but they did not understand how a group of Christians from America would come all the way to Mexico to show them God’s love and build them a home.  They were non-believers so how could they comprehend what God had for them?  By the end of the week after being with our group and helping build their home along beside us, they saw the true light and love of God.  This family was literally and spiritually brought out of the darkness and into the light, all because God sent us to be His hand and feet.

We were humbled by God’s power and witnessing what was His plan all along.  We also got to do a Vacation Bible school at a local church.  These children were also such a blessing and I was overjoyed  to share the love of Jesus with these children that I may never see again. But I hoped that they would remember this week when some Americans came to play games and do art projects, play soccer and share God’s love with them.  I was allowed to share my testimony and I shared how I had come to their country with a group of people I did not know, but how my daughter and I had stepped out and did what God called us to do.  I reminded them that sometimes you only get one chance to make a difference in the lives of another.  I myself had been an abused child and those that taught VBS and those working the bus ministries  were the ones that showed me God’s love and I remember that love.  I may not remember  the names, the churches, or even the faces of those throughout my life that God used to show me His love, but; I knew His Love and that is why I still today try to show love and hope God’s light shines through me.  I am blessed that my child and I were blessed and called last year to Ensenada.

This year again in July we will be joining LifeSong church and YUGO ministries to go back to Ensenada in July.  This year we hope to be doubling the blessings  as we will be building two homes to two more families and we will be doing two different  Vacation Bible Schools.  If you or your church or business would like to help us if not monetarily please remember us and the people in Ensenada in your prayers.  Cash App:  $Estillmom  or can make a deposit to Emma Day Mexico Trip at Citizens Guaranty Bank.  Or email @ emmaandtim62@yahoo.com  or my address is Emma Day at 195 Walton Rd, Irvine, Ky 40336.
